A visit to the pumpkin patch

Saturday we decided to visit the pumpkin patch and were able to share in the fun with my parents (aka nana and papa). We had been going to Bauman's the last couple of years, but decided we'd like to try a new one this year. We went to Willamette Valley Fruit Co which is nestled in the farm lands between Silverton and Salem. The last time we were at WVFC was for their grand opening a couple of years ago (they hand make all their pies and you can watch from the window). They have one of the five largest corn mazes in Oregon, which was one of the reasons I wanted to go (if you click the link you can see a picture of the corn maze on their website). We were blessed with a gloriously sunny day and it wasn't too cold...the perfect fall day if you ask me. Rebekah had fun in the kid fort and going down the slide lots of times. Then there was a mini hay maze, but she thought climbing on the hay was more fun than running through in all different directions. We then did the corn maze which was never ending twists and turns. Rebekah picked up a few available "corns" and carried them with her and a few times pretended the corn was getting her. We bought a few smaller pumpkins/gourds and took a hay ride. We ended the evening with free dinner at nana and papa's house.
